Tutorial: Flowers with Spellbinders

Heute habe ich ein kleines Tutorial für euch. Ich habe eine Blume aus Spellbinders-Stanzteilen gemacht. Ich habe die Stanzen "Blossom" verwendet. Mit anderen ausgestanzten Teilen in ähnlicher Form geht es natürlich auch. Hier ein Teil meiner verwendeten Utensilien:

Today I have a tutorial for you. I made a flower with Spellbinders. I used the dies "Blossom". Of course you can use similar shaped punchies. Here are some of the utensils I used:



Die ausgestanzen Blumen "distresse" ich mit VersaMagic und die kleine Blume links zusätzlich mit weißer Brilliance-Ink. Bei der größten Blume wische ich ganz am Rand mit ein bißchen schwarz. Zum Tupfen und Wischen verwende ich "Sponge Dauber". Dann schneide ich die Blumen zwischen den einzelnen "Blättern" Richtung Mitte ein.

I distressthe flowers with VersaMagic and the little flower on the left also with white Brilliance ink. The largest flower is distressed with a little bit of black ink at the very edge . For dabbing I use "Sponge Daubers". Then I cut the flowers between the "leaves" towards the middle.

Die dunklen Blumen bestempele ich am Rand mit "Swirls". Hier mit VersaMark, da ich den Stempelabdruck nachher mit Embossingpulver bestreut habe.

I stamped the dark flowers on the edge with swirl stamps. As I have embossed the image I used VersaMark for stamping.


Die hellen Blumen habe ich am Rand mit Stickles bestrichen. Die kleinste Blume habe ich mit den bereits zum "distressen" verwendeten VersaMagic bestempelt.

I've smeared the light flowers with Stickles on the edges . The smallest flower is stamped with the VersaMagic I already used for "Distressing".

Auf dem Rückseiten klebe ich 3D-Schaumpads an den Rändern auf. Für die zwei größten Blumen verwende ich 1,9 mm dicke Pads, für die zwei kleinen Blumen 1,4 mm dicke Pads. Die 1,4 mm dicken Pads klebe ich bei der größten Blume auch weiter zur Mitte. Ganz in die Mitte klebe ich normale (dünne) Foto-Klebepads.

I sticked 3D foam-pads on the backs of of the flowers at the edges. For the two bigger flowers I use 1.9 mm thick pads for the two small flowers 1.4 mm thick pads. The 1.4 mm thick pads I also used for the largest flower towards the middle. In the middle I used regular (thin) Photo-adhesive pads.


Dann biege ich den Karton vorsichtig an den Schnittkanten in Richtung der Rückseite nach oben.
Then I bend the cardstock at the cutting edges towards the back.

Nachdem dann alle vier Schichten zusammen geklebt sind, sieht die Blume so aus:

Die Blume kann auch als Hintergrund für einen Stempel verwendet werden. Dann verwende ich nur zwei ausgestanzte Blumen. Die abgebildete Karte findet ihr hier.

Bunny Friends with Flower

Eine Karte in Frühlingsfarben. Mit zwei fast weißen Kaninchen. Gestern habe ich Tim Burton's "Alice im Wunderland" in 3D gesehen, daher mussten sie weiß sein. ;-)

A card in spring colors with two nearly white rabbits. Yesterday I have seen Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D, so they had to be white. ;-)

Das wunderschöne oliv-grüne Band ist ein Teil des Candys, das ich bei Vanessa gewonnen habe. Sie hat mir Pearls und Bänder in verschiedenen Farben und eine sehr originelle selbstgemachte Karte zugesandt. Vielen Dank für dieses tolle Candy!

Vanessa hat einen Blog mit einem wirklich zauberhaften Foto als Header (allein wegen diesem Foto unbedingt einmal reinschauen) und ihre Karten und Dekorationen sind wirklich sehenswert!

Passend zu dem Oliv-grünen Band habe ich die Papierränder mit VersaMagic "Hint of Pesto" eingefärbt, um die Karte ein wenig zu "altern". Für meine Karte habe ich eine Blume als Hintergrund für die Kaninchen selbstgebastelt. Sie ist aus den Spellbinders "Blossom" gemacht. Eine Anleitung hierzu habe ich als Post eingestellt! Die Blume ist aus 300 gramm schweren Aquarellpapier, mit Aquarellstiften coloriert und danach mit Sponge Dauber und Brillance-Ink betupft (helle Blume mit "Moonlight White" und dunkle mit "Pearlescent Crimson"). Die Kaninchen sind mit 3D-Klebepads aufgesetzt.

For my card I have made a flower as a background for the bunnies with the Spellbinders "Blossom". I have posted a tutorial for these flowers in the following post.

The flower is made of 300 gram heavy watercolor paper, colored with watercolor pencils and then dabbed with Sponge Dauber and Brilliance Ink (light flower with "Moonlight White and dark with" Pearlescent Crimson ").

The rabbits are popped up with 3D foam-pads.

My Mona Lisa: DA VINCI meets VAN GOGH

Ein bißchen Kunst am heutigen Freitag...
Es gibt einen neuen Challenge-Blog, der mich gleich angesprochen hat:

Scrap the Art

Am besten ihr schaut gleich mal vorbei, denn dort gibt es alle 2 Wochen ein Challenge zum Thema Kunst. Dieses Mal ist van Gogh's Sternennacht dran. Daher habe ich den Hintergrund mit gelb-blauen Swirls bestempelt.

Passend zum Motto bin ich bei den alten Meistern geblieben und habe als Stempel die Mona Lisa gewählt.

Die Blumen sind mit Distress und Memento gealtert, danach mit Glossy Accents angemalt und ein bißchen Glitter obenauf.

Die Mona Lisa ist ausgeschnitten und mit 3D-Stickern aufgeklebt, damit sie sich von dem blauen Hintergrund schön abhebt. Dann habe ich alles mit Distress Ink "Tea Dye" gealtert.

There is a new challenge blog, I was excited immediately: Scrap-the-art

Take a look at it, because every 2 weeks there's a challenge on art. This time it's Van Gogh's Starry Night. Therefore, I have stamped the background with yellow and blue swirls.

Matching the theme I stayed with the old masters and have chosen the Mona Lisa as a stamp.

The flowers are aged with Distress and Memento, then painted with glossy accents and a little glitter on top.

The Mona Lisa is cut out and popped up with 3-D stickers to make her stands out from the blue background. The image is aged with Distress Ink "Tea Dye".

Ja, es sieht aus jeder Perspektive so aus, als wenn sie einen ansieht, deshalb gibt es auch drei Fotos. Noch besser sieht man es allerdings bei dem Original im Louvre! ;-)

From every perspective, it looks as if she looks at you, that's why there are three photos. Even better, you see can it on the original in the Louvre! ;-)

Cat with Balloons

Nein, nicht die Grinsekatze, auch wenn ich heute schon das Thema "Alice im Wunderland" hatte, sondern eine süße "Penny Black"-Katze!

Leider sieht man es auf dem Bild nicht so schön, aber die Karte funkelt super: Papier mit Glitzer und die Ballons und die Blumen sind mit Glanzgel überzogen...

Die Blumen waren einfach weiß. Ich male sie mit Acrylfarben an, dann haben sie immer die richtige Farbe. :-) Meist verwende ich auch Glanzgel (hier: Heavy Gel Medium (Gloss) von Amsterdam), dann glänzen sie wunderbar. Oft verwende ich nach außen hin dunklere Farben, dann wirken die Blumen etwas plastischer.

Mit dieser Karte nehme ich am Challenge & Blog Hop von Simon Says Stamp teil, seht einfach mal rein. Thema ist "Recipe" - 3 types of embellishments, 2 different coordinating cardstocks & 1 image.


No, not the Cheshire Cat, although I already had the subject of "Alice in Wonderland", this is a sweet "Penny Black" Cat!

Unfortunately you can't really see it in the picture, but the card sparkles brightly: paper with glitter, the balloons and the flowers are covered with Gel Medium ...

The flowers were plain white. I painted them with acrylic paints, so they always have the right color. :-) Usually I also use Gel Medium (here: Heavy Gel Medium (Gloss) by Amsterdam) to make them shine. Often, I use darker colors at the outline, so the flowers seem a bit more plastic.
