Shining On - Birthday Card

heute habe ich meine erste Geburtstagskarte mit einem Sweet Pea Stempel gebastelt. Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich meine ersten Sweet Pea Stempel aus den USA bekommen und sie sind wirklich wunderschön und in guter Qualität (eine sehr dicke Gummiplatte und der Abdruck ist "deeply edged")! Noch dazu waren sie superschnell bei mir. Ich bekomme übrigens kein Geld für die Werbung. ;-)

Diese Elfe hier ist ein Stempel namens "Shining On" - und ausnahmsweise mal ein Stempel, den ich mit supergutem Gewissen gekauft habe. 50 % der Erlöse gehen nämlich als Spende an "Doctors without Borders" zur Erdbebenhilfe nach Haiti! Und weil ich die Stempel so wunderschön finde, gibt es hier auch den Link zum Shop. Heute ist der Stempel noch im Shop, er ist aber limitiert, also wartet nicht zu lang...

Today I made my first card with a Sweet Pea Stamp. A few days ago my first Sweet Pea Stamps arrived from the U.S. and they are really beautiful and good quality (a very thick rubber plate and the stamp is deeply edged)! And they got here super fast. - No, unfortunately I don't get money for advertising. ;-)

This fairy stamp, is called "Shining On" - and this time I bought a stamp and that really made sense: 50% of the proceeds are donated to "Doctors without Borders" for earthquake aid in Haiti! And because this stamps so beautiful, I also add the link to the shop. Today, the stamp is still in the shop, but it's limited, so don't wait too long.

Der Abdruck ist mit Copics coloriert. Für alle meine nicht bastelnden Leser eine kurze Erklärung: Copics sind Alkohol Marker, die auch häufig zum colorieren von Manga-Zeichnungen verwendet werden, da sie sich leicht miteinander verblenden lassen, also die Farbübergänge weicher werden.

Über und unter den Stempelabdruck habe ich doppelseitiges Klebeband geklebt und Glitter darauf gestreut.

Die seitlichen Zweige auf dem braunen Papier sind auch Teils des Sweet Pea Stempels. Um nur kleine Abschnitte eines Stempels einzufärben nehme ich kleine Dew Drop Stempelkissen oder Sponge Dauber. Hier habe ich aber Q-Tips (Wattestäbchen) verwendet, da die einzufärbende Stelle sehr klein ist. Das funktioniert wirklich sehr gut!

The image is colored with Copics. For all my non-stamping readers a brief explanation: Copics are alcohol markers, which are often used for coloring mangas, since they can easily blend colors.

Above and below the stamp I've put double sided tape and sprinkled glitter on it.

The small branches on the brown paper are also part of the Sweet Pea stamp. To paint only small sections of a stamp, I take little Dew Drop ink pads or sponge daubers to dab the stamp. Here I used Q-Tips (cotton buds) as the colored area is very small. This works really well!
