a big frame for a small Baby Girl - ...in Pink (what else?)

Schande auf mein Haupt - ich habe über eine Woche nicht eine einzige Karte gemacht! Aber ich weiß, wessen Schuld das ist:

Stephenie Meyer! 

Ich habe das vierte Buch der Bis(s)-Reihe letztes Wochenende angefangen und jeden Abend, an dem ich ein wenig Freizeit hatte gelesen! Es scheint so, als ob das Buch an meinen Händen klebt. Ich habe schon überprüft, ob versehentlich Tacky Tape am Einband ist... ;-)

Habe bereits 539 Seiten geschafft! Also nur noch etwa 200 Seiten... ;-)

 

Shame on me - I haven't made a single card for over one week! But I know whose fault this is:

I started the fourth Twilight book last weekend and have read every evening when I had some spare time since then. Seems like the book is sticking to my hands. I allready checked if any tacky tape accidentally sticks on the backside... ;-)

Have already made it to page 539! So only about 200 pages to go... ;-)

Dennoch habe ich etwas zum Posten: Ein Keilrahmen als Geschenk zur Geburt. Dieser hier ist für ein süßes kleines Baby namens Melina - na ja - eigentlich war es ein Geschenk für ihre Mama...

Die ausgestanzen Spellbinder Formen sind aus weißen Glossy Paper. Darauf kommen dann die Fotos des Babies.

Die Blumen sind mit Acrylfarbe, die ich mit Glossy Gel vermischt habe, angemalt. Sie glänzen dann sehr schön. Der Schmetterling und die Schildkröte sind aus Aquarellkarton ausgestanzt, auch mit acrylfarbe bemalt und nach dem Trocknen mit Glossy Accents bestrichen.

Ich halte die Rahmen relativ schlicht, da ja die Baby-Fotos der Mittelpunkt sein sollen.

However, I have something to post: a wooden frame as a gift for birth. This one is for a sweet little baby named Melina - well - in fact it's a present for her mom ... ;-)

The Spellbinder shapes are made of white glossy paper. These are the frames for the baby-photos.

The flowers are colored with acrylic paint that I mixed with glossy gel. So they sparkle really sweet. The butterfly and the turtle are punched from watercolor paper, colored with acrylic paint and coated with Glossy Accents after drying.

I keep the decoration simple, because the main focus should be the baby-photos.

Ich wünschte ich hätte ein besseres Foto, aber leider ist dies das einzige...

A Wedding Card in pastel: Wedding Carriage

Hier ist eine Hochzeitskarte, die ich für Domi gemacht habe. Sie heiratet nächste Woche. Domi ist ein DT-Mitglied des Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blogs, die für sie eine Hochzeitkarten-Challenge machen. Hier gibt's die Post.

here's a Wedding Card that I made for Domi who's marrying next week. She's a DT member on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog  and they're so nice to make a Card Challenge for Domi. Here you'll find the post.

 

Der Stempel ist auf Fotopapier mit VersaMark gestempelt und dann mit einer Farbwalze verschiedene Farbtöne VersaMagic aufgetragen. Die Gesichter sind auf Fotopapier mit schwarzer Brilliance-Ink gestempelt.

The image is stamped on photo paper with VersaMark and then different colors of VersaMagic are applied with a brayer. The faces are stamped on photo paper with black Brilliance ink.

 

 Auf den Stempelabruck habe ich ein oval ausgestanztes Papier gelegt und mit VersaMark Swirls rundherum gestempelt, dann habe ich Perfect Pearls darauf verteilt und das Pulver entfernt. Die Ovalschablone habe ich noch ein zweites Mal auf das Bild gelegt, mit Sponge Daubern VersaMark um das Oval getupft und dann nochmals Perfect Pearls darauf verstrichen.


I put an oval shaped paper on the image and stamped swirls around it with VersaMark , then I spread  Perfect Pearls on it and removed the exceed powder. I placed the oval paper  on the image again and dabbed VersaMark with sponge daubers around it and then used Perfect Pearls a second time.

Das weiße Transparentpapier ganz einfach auf die Breite der Karte zugeschnitten, um die Karte herumgeschlagen und an der Vorderseite schräg gefaltet. Der Swirl ist zuerst mit Schwarzer und dann mit weißer Brilliance-Ink gestempelt.

The white tracing paper is cut to fit the width of the card, folded around it at diagonally at the front. The Swirl is stamped first with black and then with white Brilliance ink.

Auch die Innenseite der Karte ist gestempelt und verziert:

Easel Baby Card in orange & blue

hier eine Baby-Karte mit dem Whipper Snapper Stempel "A Blessing from Heaven". Zu dem Stempel gehört auch der Ballon mit der Aufschrift "Welcome": Den Ballonstempel habe ich zweimal auf weißem Glanzkarton gestempelt, einmal ohne den Schriftzug. Den Glanzkarton habe ich mit Memento-Stempelkissen eingefärbt.

Die Blume ist mit den Spellbinders "Blossom" aus weißem Filz ausgestanzt und mit verdünnter Distress Ink eingefärbt.

here's a baby card with the Whipper Snapper Stamp "A Blessing from Heaven". The stamp includes the balloon with the words "Welcome": I have stamped the balloon on white glossy paper twice , one without the sentiment. The glossy paper is colored with Memento ink pads.

The flower is the Spellbinder "Blossom" punched out of white felt and dabbed in Distress Ink with water.
